ENGR. ABIYE. H. MEMBERE is a Non-Executive Director of Advanced
Energy Partners Limited.
Engineer Abiye H. Membere is an Alumni of Harvard, IMD and
Michigan Business Schools and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in
Petroleum, 1984 and a Masters of Reservoir Engineering, 1987
degrees from the University of Port Harcourt. He has over 30
years of continuous National and International Oil and Gas
industry experience through years of service in different
capacities with Shell Petroleum Development Company, Baroid
Nigeria Ltd, ExxonMobil, NAPIMS, NPDC (subsidiaries of Nigerian
National Petroleum corporation, NNPC). Abiye joined the Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC as a General Manager,
Production Sharing Contract/Frontier Exploration Services,
PSC/FES in 2005 after over 20 years local and international work
experience with Shell and ExxonMobil. As part of his career, he
moved to become General Manager Projects at Corporate
Headquarters, then Executive Director Operations, Nigerian
Petroleum Development Company, NPDC, the upstream subsidiary of
NNPC and Managing Director of NPDC in 2008 and 2010
respectively.
In 2012 Abiye was appointed the Group Executive Director, GED,
Exploration & Production, and E & P, NNPC Corporate Headquarters
in charge of Upstream Operations in Nigeria. Engr Abiye is
currently, the MD/CEO of BEE Energy Consultancy Services, a Lagos
based Integrated Energy Consultancy and advisory company, he also
setup the Island Renewable Energy Solutions with focus on
providing alternative and cheap solar power solutions for homes
systems and small scale industries; Co-founder and Principal
Partner of the Good House Farms Limited in Nigeria. He’s a member
of several Boards both national and international, a former
Council Chairman, Society of Petroleum Engineers, SPE Nigerian
Council, Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, FNSE, member
of Council for the Regulation of Engineer of Nigeria, COREN; a
member and awardee of the Institute of Petroleum Studies,
University of Port Harcourt, a former member of the Petroleum
Technology Trust Fund, PTDF and a Fellow of the Institute of
Public Administration,
Demonstrated leadership skills as a recipient of Emerging
ExxonMobil Leadership award, 1996 and Mobil North Sea Safety
Leadership Award, 2001. Proven track records of interface
relationship management with Venture Partners, Regulatory Agencies
and Government Parastatals with excellent networking and
communication skills. He’s a philanthropist in education, health,
environment and community empowerment programs. Abiye is married
with children. His pass times are football, lawn and table tennis,
boxing and reading.
