MAJOR GENERAL ALI NANI (Rtd) is the 1st Vice Chairman of Advanced
Energy Partners Limited.
Major General Ali Abdu Nani (Rtd) had a distinguished 35-year
military career in the Nigerian Army. He served as the Chief of
Policy and Plans and a member of the Chief of Army Staff Command
and Staff Council, the highest decision-making organ of the
Nigerian Army where the general administration, operational,
welfare and logistic matters are the main focus. He was the
General Officer Commanding 8 Division of the Nigerian Army,
charged with the responsibility to end insurgency in the
Northern Borno State.
As the Vice Chairman on the Board of Nigerian Army Welfare Limited
by Guarantee, a company incorporated with the strategic mission to
turn waste to wealth by exploring opportunities within Nigerian
environment, Major General Nani (Rtd) brings his extensive
financial experience as a Certified National Accountant of Nigeria
and profound knowledge of strategic management and leadership
skills to improve the welfare of troops and profitability for the
Nigerian Army subsidiary companies; Nigerian Army Small Scale Drug
Manufacturing Company, Nigerian Army Welfare Insurance Scheme,
Post-Service Housing Development and Post-Service Homes Saving and
Loans Ltd.
Major General Nani (Rtd) also served on board of PROFORCE Limited,
a publicly traded manufacturer of Defence, mobile protective
vehicles and other security products. He brought an unparalleled
skill to effectively respond to complex financial and strategic
challenges and wide-ranging experience with corporate governance
matters being a member of Institute of Loan and Risk Management of
Nigeria. Major General Nani (Rtd) holds BSc degree in Accountancy,
MScs Strategy, Certified National Accountant of Nigerian (ANAN),
Associate, Chartered Institute of Administration and Associate
member of Commodity Brokers of Nigeria.
